How much gas should our bolier use to power our central heating/ hot water?

House is much better insulated than the last. New double glazing and generally much warmer even when heating is not on. Old place was rather drafty! After speaking with a few people I think it maybe the gas meter that’s reading incorrectly but was just hoping there may be some gas engineers out there who knew approximately how many cubic meters or kwhs an average boiler uses.

For times increase in gas usage but poor insulation and sealed compared to the new house insulated and leaks sure could.
