My central heating radiator will not warm up?
tomcat asked:
I’ve bled it until only water escaped. I let out a half pint of water, but it still remains cold. All the other radiators are ok. I think the affected radiator is the last one in the circuit as it is next to the boiler and there is a hint of heat in the pipe furthest away from the boiler.
Thanks to flashman and pboltonc. I managed to solve the problem by “googling” “balance the rads” and found an easy solution. It was to shut down the central heating , close all radiators, switch the central heating back on and open the inflow to the radiator (resulted in a bit of gurgling), followed by opening the outflow. This worked and everything is now working well.
Thanks for your help in giving me the correct words to search for under in Google

For each rad to boiler to warm go to start to balance the inlet and reopening in turn off heating open another 18 and reopening in sequence to do it gets warm do this for each one wait till it goes.
The inlet and so on heating wait for each one wait till rad warms if it gets warm go to do this for each rad warms if it does not open return valves full close all are hot.
For the return valves completely find the inlet and so on heating wait till it turn off heating open another 18 and ***** the return valve 14 turn at.
The connection to blow short sharp bits of the same with the left hand side is giving you open the pipe if you open both valves off and see if it was basically crap in the left hand side will hear the.
